"They thought that that was the best healing. And what they did right after the war, my dad was actually part of a Red Cross relief effort, and they went to Germany to help clean up the streets and do the civil services down there, 'Cause it was really bad. Hamburg, especially. There was nothing left. So they went and helped there. And then he, went back in Denmark, You had to have a year of service in the military, so right after that, he was in the service."
