Editor's Note: Alfred Regensburger, Jackie's grandfather on her mother's side, ran a textile mill in Hof, a town in Bavaria. The mill was founded by Alfred's grandfather David Regensburger in the 1850s and owned by his uncle Willy and aunt Henriette until 1938, when it was "Aryanized." The success of the textile mill enabled the family to live a comfortable, affluent lifestyle in Germany for three generations.
