“He ran the textile mill; uniform companies were some of their customers.”
Text
“He was the owner of a textile mill that was in Hof, Germany, that had been owned by his cousin David Regensburger and I don’t know how it is that he inherited it. I know that he worked there, that he had done an internship and come to the United States in the early 1900s, and that he ran the textile mill and that... uniform companies were some of their customers.”
Editor's Note: Alfred Regensburger, Jackie's grandfather on her mother's side, ran a textile mill in Hof, a town in Bavaria. The success of the textile mill enabled the family to live a comfortable, affluent lifestyle in Germany.
