“This is to certify that Grace Thorpe has been elected to Who’s Who among students in American Universities & Colleges in recognition of outstanding merit and accomplishment a student at Antioch School of Law 1974-75.”

Grace Thorpe dropped out of school at age 15. However, after becoming involved in Native American activism she decided to continue her education. In the 1960s Grace completed an effective speaking and human relations course at Dale Carnegie Institute where she also received the best speech award. In 1973 Grace worked as a research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1975 Grace earned her paralegal degree from Antioch School of Law. Five years later in 1980 Grace completed her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts at the University of Tennessee. She also attended Northeastern University where she took classes towards a Master’s in Administration. Through Grace’s educational accomplishments she proved that it is never too late to get an education.
