Losing Family
They Were All Taken
"Nobody really knows their fate."
Text
"Right. [My grandfather Alexander] had a sister Frieda, a brother Gustav, and another sister Gertrude. In 1942-1943 they were all taken. And nobody really knows their fate. They were taken and never seen again. And also his mother, Johanna Jacobi, she was living in Berlin at the time. She was in her early eighties, and my understanding from the records is that she was taken to a German hospital where she had a heart attack and died."
