Introduction to the Ministry
Martin Luther King, Jr.
"He made sense out of ministry and the Gospel to me [more] than any other person."
Text
“The high school teacher came to the class and said, ‘...I want to tell you about Martin Luther King,’ and that’s the first time I heard [of him]... I remember vividly that he told us [Dr. King] was in jail… For the first time, a black Baptist minister made more sense of the Gospel or Jesus in my mind than the Orthodox priest in my town… King would make more sense to me, that a man 10,000 miles away struggled for the liberation of his people. He made sense out of ministry and the Gospel to me [more] than any other person.”
