Story
"I get my orders to report to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to be with the Marine Corps. They don’t have their own medical personnel. So us as Navy corpsmen are stationed with the Marines and take care of them... I wound up with the reconnaissance marines, and lucky me I got to go to Fort Benning, Georgia, to learn how to jump out of an airplane. I always laugh because it is not a natural act to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but that is what I wound up doing. We wore Marine uniforms with Navy insignia. I got to jump out of an airplane."
