“…It is with great sadness that I remember the devastation and death that raged across the snow covered hills of Belgium and Luxembourg,” Scott wrote in a 40th anniversary column in the Dec. 16, 1984 edition of the Atlanta Daily World. He liked this photo so much that he had a color oil painting of it done around the same time.
